Review summary

Powered by AI
The Novotel Toronto Centre is frequently praised for its modern appearance and spacious rooms, making it a favored choice in downtown Toronto, especially given its proximity to Union Station and the St Lawrence Market. Guests appreciate the ease of walking to key attractions and the convenience of having a buffet breakfast with plenty of choice available, though some have found the breakfast quality inconsistent. The pool area is a plus for many, and the hotel is well-positioned for access to the Scotiabank Centre and the harbor.

Excellent Stay at Central Hotel

convenient location wide variety modern equipment
I found the location very convenient. The hotel is close to many attractions and public transport options. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of choices. Staff ensured the food was fresh and plentiful. I especially appreciated the gym, as it had modern equipment.
The in-room coffee machine lacked clear instructions.
Facilities
9/10
The fitness center contained three treadmills. It also had two stationary bikes and a selection of free weights. Guests could also access a well kept indoor pool.
Service
9/10
Staff members provided prompt assistance. They addressed requests efficiently and they maintained a professional demeanor. The front desk offered helpful directions to nearby attractions.
Dining
9/10
The breakfast buffet featured both hot and cold options. Fresh fruit and pastries were available daily. The dining area provided ample seating and natural light. The dining staff worked hard.
Location
10/10
The hotel is within a short walk of several restaurants. Major attractions are easily accessible. Public transportation is close to the hotel.

underwhelming experience

slow paramedic response negligent hotel management
most of the staff were nice and the pool was acceptable.
I returned to my room one evening and saw an elderly woman lying on the floor. She had clearly fallen. i called the front desk to let them know, but several minutes passed, and nobody showed up. it took so long for the paramedics to arrive. It seemed like the desk clerks did not call them promptly.

spacious room clean room easy parking street noise thin walls second floor
The room was spacious. It was clean and had everything I needed. Parking was easy and convenient. The check-in process was easy.
I could easily hear conversations of my neighbors. I was on the second floor facing the street. Music and street noise continued well past midnight.
